City of Casey lists pool installation among works that usually need an Asset Protection Permit before materials or equipment arrive. A building permit is needed before installing an in-ground pool and barrier. The completed pool must then be registered with Council, with a new barrier compliance certificate lodged at registration or within 30 days. A planning permit or other approval may also be needed depending on the property.
